NEW SHOES

Since my wheels had seen a couple of winters and a full season in the roads of Brazil, they were pretty shaken up. But they were holding up well enough. Two weeks ago I started hearing a strange noise coming from the back hub. I changed the bearings as some were damaged. But the noise didn't stop. During the ride in Limburg it got worst it is coming from the body (the piece that connects the gears to the wheel). Because the body was already refurbish I decided that it was time to retire the wheels... So, I decided to by new shoes for the bike! I wanted something good priced but that could hold a couple of winters. I looked for some Fulcrum 7 and mavics Aksyum that are known for being working horses but I found a pair of Shimano RS30 and decided to go for them. And I don't regret. They are great. First because the sport line from Shimano is very strong and durable and you can always find someone to fix Shimanos. They are 30mm profile, bladed spokes and the hubs run very smooth . They make a very nice noise when riding and a fairly rigid. And they are white! Happy!

As rodas da minha bicicleta de treino já viram um bom número de invernos e estavam bem usadas e abusadas. Mas elas estavam se comportando bem o suficiente até agora. Duas semanas atrás um barulho chato apareceu na roda trasiera e eu achei que vinha do cubo. Eu mudei os rolamentos já que alguns estavam danificados. Mas o barulho não parou e durante o treino do domingo a coisa piorou. Após investigar melhor, descobri que vinha do eixo da catraca. Já que o eixo já tinha sido consertado uma vez eu decidi que era hora de aposentá-las. Então comprei novos sapatos para bike. Eu queria encontrar alguma coisa de bom preço mas que aguentasse mais alguns invernos. Eu olhei por Fulcrum 7 e Mavic Aksyums porque são conhecidas por serem cavalos de batalha mas acabei encontrando um par de Shimano RS30 e decidi por elas. E não me arrependo. Elas são muito boas. Primeiro porque a linha sport da Shimano é conhecida pela durabilidade e depois porque Shimano é sempre fácl de encontrar quem conserte. E também porque elas tem perfil de 30mm, raios laminados , os cubos são fantásticos e no final bem rígidas. E elas são brancas!
